Biomechanical MOT

A full-body movement screen to understand how your body moves — and where it doesn’t

Book on ClassPass

What is a Biomechanical MOT?

A structured, clinical movement screen. Not a workout, not a massage. Harshitha assesses your posture, gait, joint mobility and movement quality from head to toe.

Most people are surprised by what comes up — not because something is wrong, but because understanding your body better is genuinely useful.

  • Postural assessment (standing and seated)
  • Gait analysis
  • Joint mobility and range of motion screening
  • Movement quality assessment (squatting, hinging, overhead reach)
  • Identification of asymmetries and compensations
  • Written summary and personalised recommendations

This session is right for you if…

Runners wanting to understand their gait before building more mileage
Gym-goers with niggles that won’t go away
Desk workers with postural concerns they’ve never had properly assessed
Anyone who wants a clinical baseline before starting a new training programme

Questions about the Biomechanical MOT

Do I need to be injured to book this?
No — this session is specifically designed for people who are not currently injured. It’s a proactive assessment: a clinical picture of how your body moves, where it compensates, and what that might mean for how you train or move going forward. You don’t need a presenting complaint to benefit from it.
How is this different from a personal training assessment?
This is a clinical physiotherapy assessment, not a fitness or strength screen. Harshitha is an HCPC-registered physiotherapist, not a personal trainer. The focus is on movement quality, joint mechanics, compensatory patterns and clinical findings — not fitness benchmarks or programme design.
